Day to Day
May. 5th, 2005 | 01:49 am
Doctors appointment tomorrow at 11:15a. Only 13 weeks left, wow. The doctor said that he wouldn't let me carry past 40 weeks, so Riley Ann will be here in 13 weeks or less. Kind of makes everything a little bit more real.
On top of that, welcome to the last day of finals week, at least for me. Grant has one Friday morning at 8a. Ouch. It's a phsycology one too. Other delightful news, I will have a domain back on the web shortly. As soon as I come up with a layout I like, code the damn thing, and learn Wordpress. So don't get to anxious now. That's a project the way my life is moving right now. Anyways, I am about to crash out as I am rambling incoherently in a state of sleep-deprived delirium. Hehe. Lot's of big words. Night night.

Turned Upside Down
Apr. 25th, 2005 | 09:22 pm
mood:
sleepy
music: JoDee Mesina - My Give a Damn's Busted
Yes, I am still here. I just been completely rearranging my entire life, starting with the apartment. The whole house has been rearranged in preparation of Riley. Bedroom, living room, and nursery. It looks like a completely different home. I love it and so does Grant and the kitties it seems. We are going to be painting the nursery and starting making curtains, etc. after the first of this month.
As for the other major change, I am not going back to Cameron next semester. I am currently working from home designing websites. So far, very good. Next year, I will be going to the local technological school and be recieving my Associates degree in Web/Mutlimedia/E-Commerce design. :) They said it only take two semester because I already have all of my general ed from Cameron, plus I can clep out of almost half of the courses if I can past the tests. Yeah!! I will be finishing my English degree, but it will wait until a time better suited family and financially time.
So those are two of the big changes that have been taking up a large portion of my time. Hopefully soon I will be able to post more frequently with more interesting post. For now, I have work to do, so ta-ta. Have a good week and God bless.

Taking Care of Loose Ends
Apr. 3rd, 2005 | 11:28 am
Hey guys, been taking care of some things since I quit work that have been neglected much to long. Plus, we are really starting to prepare for the baby. Painting the nursery soon. Grant and Dad of course. They make me feel helpless. I'm used to being able to hang with the guys when it comes to things like that and they won't even let me lift the laundry basket. Sheesh. Anyways, I should be back soon on a more regular/permanent basis. I am keeping up with everyone's sites though, even if I don't leave my mark often. :) Have a good one and God bless.

I'm still alive. :) Things are just kinda hectic right now. Grant got a job!!! Yeah! That's where he is at right now. Anyways, hopefully I will be able to post some updates later this week. For now, it's time to clean house. Grr.

jubilant

See, this is what not having a website of any sort for almost six months does to you. You post like crazy. Heh. I know I am boring all of you to death. Anyways, I've done a little more tweaking to the site. I added Riley's Baby registry to the top navigation list. :) Hint. I am thinking of creating a journal just for her so that all of the family can access it. I don't want everyone reading this one, so it's the best option. Expect it in a day or so. Well, I will be off to bed soon, hopefully. Have to get up at 8:30a for school and what not. Good night and God bless.

Job Hunt
Mar. 23rd, 2005 | 02:29 pm
mood:
hopeful
music: NAZARETH - BLACK BETTY
Well, I finally got to sleep in a little bit. After a little morning romp, it's time to get in the shower and get ready for the day. Job hunting. Not an easy task for a pregnant woman. It's hard to get anyone to hire you. Heh. Anyways, Grant has class from 6p to 9:30p tonight, so I will be chilling in the library at school. Fun times.
Ciana, again, I am so sorry. I replied to your post here and on your LJ. Would you like me to gravel publicly? I will if I have to. You've done alot for me and I didn't mean for the domains to go down like they did. I didn't have the money and I couldn't convice Netrillium to hold everything until I could get it. Things have been crazy for me. I haven't really even been online up until I quit my job last week. I hope you understand and can forgive me.
With that said, I am about to embark on a two hour journey to make myself look pretty. Mainly just trying to tame my hair, which is now down to the middle of my back. Argh. Hope everyone has a good day.

The Finished Product
Mar. 23rd, 2005 | 02:28 am
mood:
tired
music: Fingers Eleven - One Thing
Wow. Now, I'm really tired, but also pretty satisfied. I let loose some creative energy. Got very frustrated along the way. Not only did I know nothing about LJ overrides, but you get rusty at any form of coding after not even looking at it in about six months. Ouch. When I do get a new domain up and running, it's going to take me forever to get a layout ready. :) Heh, better get started.
So what do you think? I would definately like to thank Aryana for her patience and help. :) You are an amazing designer, but you know that right? There maybe a few more changes here and there. So if you see anything weird, just please ignore it. I'll have it tweaked to my likings soon enough. Well, I am going crash now for sure. My back is killing me from this computer chair. I am definately going to have to invest in some nice pillows. The doc said I will probably have to wear a back brace after my seventh month because I have a bad back and knees. Which reminds me, I will post a long entry about the pregnancy and maybe sonogram pictures soon. :) Good night everyone and God bless.

Marathon Day #2
Mar. 22nd, 2005 | 10:18 pm
Left the house at 9a, after waking up almost 30 minutes late at 8:45a. God, I hate rushed mornings. The whole day is off. Anyways, took Grant to class by 9:30. Spent about a hour or so in the library until he got out at 10:45. Then went to the hospital to see Grannie for a while. Nothing to do until 2p. Grant has one more class and a job interview at 3:30. Spent some time at the hopsital till 12:00, then decided to drive 20min to my parents house and hang out until we had to head back into town at 1:30. Chilled there. Decided to ride back into town with Mom to save gas. Dropped Grant off at school and went to the hospital. About 2:40, Grant walked from campus to the hospital. (Only about one block.) We head to the interview. That lasted until 4ish. Then called mom and picked her up from hospital. Head to Wal-mart. Pregnancy rears it's head. I really have to pee. Oops. Water main has busted downtown and there's no water. Bathrooms are out of order. Finish shopping, decided to head to Sonic and then go home and cook dinner. Almost out of town, cell phone rings. Grannie, "Come get me. They are sending me home and will finish procedure next week." Turn around, go back to hospital and wait an hour or so for all the paperwork. Water still out, no bathrooms at hospital either. To late to cook, KFC on the way home. We decided what all 5 people want. (Me, Grant, Dad, Mom, and Grannie.) KFC is one of those that is combined with Taco Bell. Not a full menu selection. Ditch first order and argue over new one. Finally make it home at about 7p. Company. Doesn't stay long, and everyone gets to eat finally. Get Grannie situated at home and head to back next door to parents and kick back for bit. Walked back through our front door at 9:45 pm. About to crash.
Wow. That's how my day has felt. Rushed and jambled. I am so glad it's finally over and I am going to bed in just a moment. The first time I have been to bed before 11p in a couple of months. It feels weird. But I am exhausted. Grant's interviewer said that if he calls before tomorrow at five, Grant has the job. Cross your fingers. Anyways, I am brain dead so I am shutting up now. Good night and God bless.
P.S. I finally go to pee when I got home at around 7p, almost three hours later. That can't be good for you.

Long Day
Mar. 21st, 2005 | 10:41 pm
Wow, it's been one of those days that just never seems to end. I didn't even make it into bed last night until well past 4a. When your almost six months pregnant, you have to become creative in your sleep behavior, or so I am beginning to realize. My tummy isn't even really that big yet, but it still feels like a watermelon half the time. To make matters worse, I am a stomach/right side sleeper. Now, the only way I can fall asleep is on my left side (which is also dr. recommended), but continuously wake up every hour or so only to find my self on my stomach and very uncomfortable. Argh.
Anyways, it was a long day that started at 5:30a. I don't know if any of your remember last Jan. ('04), but my Grannie had open-heard surgery and a few other minor procedures. Well, one of the stints they did in her arteries has "sprung a leak" and they are having to do another few minor procedures to correct it. So, I spent the first 5 hours of my day in a surgery waiting room with about ten other family members. Not only is it getting difficult to get comfortable almost anywhere I go, but this is the first baby in my family on both sides in nine years. So, in other words, I don't get a moments peace. If it's not someone trying to rub my stomach, so how big I've gotten, or gripe at me for some unhealthy habit, then it's something else.
Well, the first procedure went perfectly fine and everyone headed home from the hospital. When I got home, Grant was just waking up. So, I spent a little time with him. And then decided to take a nap. With all of the baby-fication of the house, the computer has been migrated into the bedroom. So guess what, Grant remembers that he has a bioethical report due for his biology class tonight. You try sleeping to thousands of key strokes and frustrated sighs. Argh, again. (P.S., Helen, if you have any suggestions for one of these reports, give me a yell. He has to write one weekly and is running out of info and ideas. :)
So, my nap was cut down to an hour or so. We weren't supposed to head back to town until five with my Mom. Grant was gonna go to class and we were going back to the hospital. But Grant needed to go the library for a book to finish his paper. We left at four instead. To make a long story short, (yeah right), we just got home. I am fixing to take a nice long bath, and then crawl into bed. We have to get up at 8a for class and then Grant has a job interview at two. Cross your fingers.
I would also like to thank everyone for the warm welcome back to the net. I honestly have not been on the computer or done any designing since apostrophic shut down. I really miss it and I didn't realize how much until the last few days or so. Designing and blogging is like a type of meditation for me. I love creating. Anyways, I need to shut up now. My brain and body is numb. Have a good night everyone and God bless.

A LOOK INTO THE LIFE
Mar. 21st, 2005 | 02:08 am
I guess I should go ahead and start this. I know some of you are dying to know what has been going on with me since apostrophic closed down back in the first week of November. Actually, an incredible amount of things have happened. And I can honestly say that my life has changed for the better. I'll kind of catagorize this somewhat so that you can skip to the parts that you may be interested in.
FAMILY
As most of you know, I was going through a divorce back in July. Well, on Halloween, I ran into an old child-hood friend. :) Grant. When Ashley (my best-friend) and I were 15 and 16, thislittle blond-haired boy of 11 used to follow us everywhere. I thought it was a cute little crush. Well, I know now that it was a little more. I always thought he was a cutie, but way to young for me. Well, 22 and 19 is alot different than 15 and 11. So, now, Grant is my live-in boyfriend and the father-to-be of our little girl, Riley Ann, who is due on Aug. 1, 2005. Since Grant has come into my life, things are better than I have never known them. We are impatiently awaiting the birth of our little girl. We plan to marry after she is born, but not yet. We don't want to get married just because we are having a baby. It is definately in the plans though. We want her birth to be about her, and our wedding to be about us. Our families have become one and everyone is very happy and excited.
SCHOOL
I am now finishing my fourth year of college with about a year and a half to go. My plans have changed. I am still an English Lit major, which is my passion for life. But I have began to rethink my choice as a high-school English teacher. I would much rather enter a field that runs along the lines of Literary Research and Development, maybe a little on the historical end of things. Grant is in his first year of a four-year nursing program at the same university and will be getting his phlebotomy (the people who draw your blood in the med labs) license this summer.
WORK
I still worked at Hop-N-Sack up until Thursday of last week. Just couldn't handle the stress anymore. Currently looking for something more suitable.
As for my presence on the web, I still may launch the new domain in the next few months, but for now, I feel this will do. Sorry this is so brief and impersonal, but it's all I have time for at the moment. Hopefully, I will be able to post better later this week. Just wanted everyone to know what is going on. :) Hope to hear from some old friends soon!

Hopefully I will start posting soon. I have been looking for something I like to make this halfway decent looking. You know how it is, if you can't stand the site of it, why would you want to post on it.

Taking A Look See
Feb. 14th, 2005 | 03:09 am
Trying to find a new and cheaper way to have a website. This will more than likely be friends only. Check back soon.
